Seoul History Yongsan Course, Exploring the living history of Korean Culture and Art Once again. National Museum of Korea → Ohansu Uyukmyeonga → Bree Coffee Sinyongsan

This course consists of the excellent universal tourism facilities selected by the Seoul Tourism Organization in 2023. Universal tourism facilities cater to all individuals, including those with disabilities, by ensuring convenient access for everyone.


Yongsan-gu has served as a hub for water and rail transportation since the Joseon Dynasty, with a constant flow of people and goods passing through. The largest cultural facility in Korea, the National Museum of Korea, showcases the country's extensive history by displaying various art and artifacts from prehistoric times to today. Guests have the opportunity to appreciate jewelry, ceramics, paintings, and other items from Korea and various other locations.


The facilities at the National Museum of Korea are planned to be convenient for every visitor. An elevator that is accessible for wheelchairs is located within the building, enabling individuals to easily navigate between floors, and services such as Braille and sign language interpretation are offered to enhance the experience for persons with visual and hearing impairments.


There are numerous dining establishments and coffee shops in Yongsan for those looking to experience different tastes. Following a visit to the National Museum of Korea, visitors can indulge in tasty beef noodles prepared with unique toppings and quality ingredients at Ohansu Uyukmyeonga Yongsan-Harrington, and unwind with a flavorful cup of coffee at Bree Coffee Yongsan. Situated in the center of Seoul, the National Museum of Korea is the focal point of Korea's rich history and culture. Featuring art and artifacts from prehistory to modern times, along with jewelry and ceramics from various cultures worldwide, the museum provides visitors with more than just a visual spectacle, but also a new educational perspective and experience about history and culture.

The National Museum of Korea is equipped with facilities that are easily accessible and convenient for all guests. The museum is easily accessible with the flat main entrance and wide doorways for smooth maneuvering for wheelchair users. Elevators with voice guides reach all floors and have enough space to turn around, along with accessible restrooms on each floor with wide doors and ample interior space for visitors with disabilities. Families can find nursing areas and diaper changing stations, as well as access tactile models, Braille and sign language services for persons with visual and hearing impairment, guaranteeing an inclusive experience for all.

∙ Accessible way and Main entrance ㅣ The building is accessible on a gentle slope or a level ground, equipped with Braille blocks for persons with visual impairment. 

∙ Indoor Space ㅣ The indoor area is spacious enough featuring flat pavement, and there is an elevator that reaches all floors. 

∙ Facilities for persons with visual and hearing impairment ㅣ Tactile models and Braille descriptions are available throughout for persons with visual impairment, and sign language interpretation is available upon reservation for persons with hearing impairment. There is also a kiosk with sign language recognition technology that offers interpretation for visitors with hearing impairment. 

∙ Parking lot for persons with disabilities ㅣ A total of 33 accessible parking spaces are available from the basement to the second floor. 

∙ Accessible Toilet for persons with disabilities ㅣ Accessible restrooms are available on all floors, separated by gender. 

 Children facilities and others ㅣ Strollers are available for rental/storage.

The Ohansu Uyukmyeonga Yongsan-Harrington is managed by a skilled beef noodle artisan and offers Hong Kong-style beef noodles and dumplings. The signature dish is Beef Noodles, made with tender Korean beef in a deep, clear broth, and the chewy crucible and juicy dumplings are sure to please the visitors. The menu is served right away, with free add-ons of rice and noodles, offering great value for money. The entrance is free of steps or slopes, ensuring easy access. Moreover, there is an accessible parking lot for persons with disabilities directly in front of the restaurant.

Bree Coffee Sinyongsan is a famous cafe in Yongsan for its fruity Americano and signature Bree-born Latte. The secret menu and wooden-themed vintage decor of the cafe are adored by numerous people. The accessible way and main entrance are wide with a gentle slope, making it easily accessible for strollers and wheelchair users. The interior space is also level and spacious, and accessible restrooms are located within 100 meters of the store for added convenience.
