Overview
The National Memorial of the Korean Provisional Government was built to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea. It provides an opportunity to convey the historical, ethical, and world-historical significance of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea. Moreover, it honors the spirit of patriotic martyrs who devoted themselves to the independence movement.
Attractions
The museum aims to widely publicize the values of the constitutional spirit, 'Succession to the legal traditions of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea established through the March 1st Movement'. In the permanent exhibition, the history of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea is displayed by theme. Special exhibitions are planned to be held twice a year. Museum guided tour with a curator is available upon a pre-reservation on the official website of the museum.
Accessibility
The entryway is made up of stairs but there is a vertical platform lift for wheelchair accessibility. The main entrance is wide and has automatic doors, and there is a Korean braille information board nearby. There is an information desk accessible to wheelchair users, and Wheelchairs and strollers can be rented at the information desk as well. The elevator in the museum is wheelchair accessible. Across the elevator, there are single-user accessible restrooms for both male and female. There is a nursing room with a diaper changing station on the 1st-floor café lounge. On the basement floor, there are parking facilities for persons with disabilities.
